The Legend of Earth Suck
*Warning: This is a review of a mini-series based on the first 20 minutes.* Man, let me tell you, after seeing commercials for the last half of the damn year, I thought to myself “I gotta see this Legend of Earthsea movie on sci fi!” I figured they spent so much it must at least look cool. But no. The first real landscape shot… there’s this castle and surrounding area… and it’s a really cheesy 3d drawing. And I mean cheesy. Horrible. I guess they spent all their money on ads. The story is the same as every other “fantasy”, which I expected, but *sigh* it’s so disappointing. 20 Minutes into it I gave up. No real reason to see any more *sigh* Oh well.
Guess what?! I was right. This movie did suck. Luckily it only took me 20 minutes to find out. This just in: the author of the books is pissed

Why can’t I keep my contacts?
Ok so there’s Evoultion, KMail/KAddressbook, Thunderbird, and then there’s the tried and true pen & paper. What’s the problem? I want to keep a list of people I know so I can contact them. I want a list that I can use no matter what client I choose. Vcard isn’t it.

Using your hosts file to block ads
So you’re tired of ads huh? Adblocker annoying you? Well check this out: http://someonewhocares.org/hosts/. It’s a /etc/hosts file (if you’re smart you can use it on just about any os) that will redirect ad sites to local host, eliminating the need for an ad blocker! Pretty neat idea huh?

Mrxvt (still growing!)
Just a note to say I’m really pleased about this new terminal project, mrxvt. They recently released 0.3.10 and 0.4 is on the way. This terminal has improved a lot since it was called multi aterm. I’m so glad to see this project going well. I was afraid it might just be another “would be great if they ever finish it” freshmeat project
