Nvu 1.0!
Whoa Nvu 1.0 was finally released!. If you don’t know by now, Nvu is a GUI web design app similar to Dreamweaver and FrontPage. I’ve been using Mambo for this site (obviously) but I might look into Nvu for designing other sites. Then again vim works quite wel l and is already installed…

Postfix Book Review
This could go in my book section, but it’s really meant to help admins so I’ll call it computer stuff. Happened to find a book review ( I think it was on slashdot… I forget but I have the link bookmarked haha ) for The Book of Postfix. Danny seems to like it. I’ve been lucky enough to get by with online docs, but I might check this book out. Always nice to have a hard copy…

Good Night To Die
This movie is surprisingly interesting! It’s a strange sort of hitman flick. It has a bunch of breasts and cursing, drugs, violence, and so forth. There’s also this really dope dream sequence! I’m watching it right now… I’ll update when it’s over.
Update: Hey it has a cool ending too! I enjoyed this movie, and not just because of the breasts either!

Halloween H20
*sigh* This movie was like the other Halloween movies, except it sucked a lot. Hahaha wow I mean… damn. Don’t bother, unless you are just dying to see another movie with Michael Myers. It’s all the same… it’s always the same… Please don’t spend money on this one.

Mimic
Haha man sized killer cockroaches. I couldn’t help myself. It’s another movie that everyone else saw but took me a few years to get around to seeing. Definitely not the best movie in the world, but pretty interesting. Features a token black guy cop, who sings negro spirituals when he’s scared, a bunch of curious kids, and a few scientists who “go too far”. It’s great for free, wouldn’t pay for it though. Actually if you have a free rental you probably might as well just get something else haha. Unless you are hungry for some man-sized cockroach action!

Ladder 49
Ladder 49 is a drama about firemen. It’s a decent movie, most of which takes place in a series of flashbacks. It’s a good movie, if you like tear-jerkers. It’s almost like the show “Rescue Me” but without so much sex and violence. I really didn’t want to see it, because I knew it was a “drama”, and it in that “dramatic” sense, it’s pretty predictable. For every happy moment there’s an equal sad moment. I guessed the ending about 20 minutes into the movie. Eh. But again, if you like crying flix it’s great!

Blade Runner
So I finally saw Blade Runner! It’s actually closer to Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep than I thought it would be. There is a bunch of stuff missing, but it’s still pretty good. I’m actually watching the last 20 minutes of it now. If you’ve never seen this movie, but are into the dystopian themes like me, you really should check this out. It’s worth renting, for sure. Somehow the ending is still good even though it’s not quite the same as the book (of course).

Columbo: Short Fuse
Hahahaha Columbo rocks! He just always seems to catch the bad guy with his “I don’t really know about ____” and “I have a crazy theory…” I knew who the killer was this time though, from the start. It was still fun to watch though. *sigh* Go Columbo!
